 Graham Orr,
Director
of Hovtek Pty Ltd, with tertiary qualifications (Ba Dip.Ed Macquarie
University) in Biological Sciences, Chemistry and Education.
Graham
and his family have lived on 2Ha property adjacent to Crown land in
Glenorie for the past twenty four years. Graham works from his property
in Glenorie. From 1976 to 1988 he taught in the N.S.W State Secondary
School system he has had extensive experience in teaching Biological
Sciences, Chemistry and Physics at the N.S.W Higher School Certificate
level.
He
is a Trained Mediator (Australian Commercial Disputes Centre); Quality
Systems Consultant; Occupational Health & Safety Consultant;
Associate Asia Pacific Research Institute at Macquarie University.
Graham
holds two patents currently:

The Collite Light splint developed for
the Australian Military for field first aid.
Ø
TICCA the interactive heart for health
education.
Graham
is an elected
Local Government representative in NSW,
having served on Hornsby Shire Council in this capacity since 1995.
Graham is an independent Councillor and is not
a member of any political party. He is currently a Ministerial
appointed Chair of
The Berowra Valley Regional Park.
He
has overseen the implementation of Quality and Environmental Management
Systems in Hornsby Council; Chairman
of the Berowra Creek Estuary Management Committee implementing
the estuary management plan, Chairman of Hornsby Shire Council’s Environment
and
Agenda
21 Committees and has been the instigator
and has a continuing involvement in developing awareness of
sustainability issues.
